Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the designation this week of three leaders of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples and nine entities that support the Cuban regime. The sanctions address “the Cuban regime’s efforts to fund its repression” and “its decades-long campaign of subversive anti-American activities.”

Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Michael Rigas is concluding his trip to Egypt. While there, he visited the Sinai Monastery, a historic site that has been the focus of discussions surrounding its ownership.
Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Cate Dillon is meeting with officials in Cambodia, Malaysia, and Vietnam to further U.S. interests and partnerships.
